BEIJING, July 8 – China’s top political advisor Jia Qinglin said on
Saturday the energy issue is a key, strategic issue for China, the
world’s largest developing country.
Jia, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political

The country’s 11th five-year plan sets clear targets in the fields of
population, resources and environment.
The CPPCC has special advantages in building an energy-efficient and
environment-friendly society, Jia said, calling on CPPCC members to
earnestly investigate and study energy issues and raise valuable
